On March 21, 2022, The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) Operations Team conducted an ongoing ocular inspection of the newly installed Early Warning Signage (Landslide Prone areas) for the Dacudao and Lacson Fault. The signages have been installed in Sitio Mahalyang, Brgy. Dalag, Sitio Suawan, Brgy. Salaysay and Purok Acasia, Brgy. Tamugan.
The list of sites to be installed with the Early Warning Signage for Dacudao Fault: Barangay Riverside; Along-Davao Bukidnon National Highway, Cattleya Street and Sampaguita Street. Barangay Los Amigos; Campo Cinco, Along Davao-Bukidnon National Highway, Los Amigos, near Limbaga’s Hitoan. Barangay Tugbok; Alabama Avenue, Deca Homes Subdivision, Brgy. Mintal, Doña Aurora Street (Back of Mintal Gym), Barangay Road and Yellow Street.
Lacson Fault sites: Barangay Calinan; Davao-Bukidnon Road and Calinan Baguio Road. Barangay Wangan; Toril-Mahambulan-Calinan Road, Barangay Subasta; Subasta-Balingaeng-Los Amigos Road. Barangay Balingaeng; Toril-Manambulan-Calinan Road.
These installations are affirming to be essential in keeping safety measures in disaster-prone areas to avoid accidents and undesirable casualties in times of disaster scenarios. The CDRRMO will continue to do an assessment on remote areas to reach out to sites that are unsafety for the public.
