On December 2, 2021, two (2) City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CDRRMO) personnel together with the Task Force Davao, Task Force Samal, Central 911, Police Regional Office-11 (PRO-XI), Philippine Navy, Eastern Mindanao Command (EastMinCom) and other uniformed units participated the “Air to the Ground Operations” training conducted by the Philippine Air Force at Tactical Operations Group (TOG-XI) Headquarters, at Barangay Sasa.

Given the objective of the said training, TOG-XI anticipates strengthening the physical skills and intellectual capacity of the Safety and Security Cluster of Davao City to respond and promptly address any disaster-related and alike scenarios that may transpire around. The participants went a series through an upscaled and thorough webinar lecture activity and actual physical demo performed by the officers from the host agency. Part of the physical demonstration training was upskilling to board a military aircraft resource, as this may consider playing a vital role in an event of an air evacuation amidst a critical call situation.

As such, CDRRMO’s endless commitment to upholding the mandate of the office through providing a comprehensive, all-hazard, multi-sectoral, inter-agency, and community-based approach to disaster risk management will continuously pave its way for the sake of saving lives and give the best of service due to its people.
